Our Policy and Pricing

We here at Wasteland Rattery aim to produce happy and healthy pets. To achieve our goals we have some rules that help ensure that our babies go to the best homes.

 We currently home in pairs or more.

Rats are social animals that need to be kept in pairs or more, we have found that trios work best for fancy rat social dynamics. 

 

We only rehome in same-sex pairs. The lure of babies can sound fun, but caring for 20+ babies and all that comes with breeding rats is harder than it appears.

We no longer sell to Breeders. 

 

We run on a First come First serve deposits system.

 

\You MUST be over 18 to adopt from us. If you are under 18 please have an adult reach out to us.  

​

 

We require full payment up front! 

​

If we have to cancel the deposit will be refunded ONCE THE PUPS HAVE FOUND NEW HOMES. 

​

If you cancel - the Deposit is forfeited!

  • This includes but is not limited to the following: 

  • Finding rats closer to you 

  • No longer wanting them 

  • Finding a cheaper rattery 

  • Not wanting to wait till pick updates 

  • Deciding that you want a different sex - we are happy to switch holds over. 

  • Not wanting to pay for a transporter

 

Please make sure you have everything in order before you place a deposit down.

Standard Pair - $120
Standard Trio - $150

Dwarf Pair  - $200
Dwarf Trio - $250

Mixed Pair - $150
Mixed Trio - $200

Manx Single - $120

We sometimes have pups or older rats that are looking for homes that are at a lower price. Please ask if you are interested. 
These rats are normally $50 per or $100 a pair. 

 In recent years we have learned that Rats do best in groups of odd numbers. It may be daunting to bring home 3 babies, but it can very beneficial for the your new buddies and so much fun!
